SHAFTESBURY ANNOUNCES THE ARRIVAL OF NOBODY’S CHILD IN CARNABY

Shaftesbury announces the arrival of Nobody’s Child, a responsible womenswear fashion brand opening at 50 Carnaby Street, this week. The store contributes to the diverse array of independent brands in London’s most directional shopping location.

Samantha Bain-Mollison, Retail Director, Shaftesbury says: "We are delighted to welcome Nobody’s Child to Carnaby. As a brand who are committed to using conscious fabrics, consistently transparent about their clothing production processes, and who are actively seeking new systems for reducing packaging waste, they are a very welcome addition to our ever-growing portfolio of sustainable retail brands. This is an exciting trial period for the store in this location.”

Nobody’s Child has just opened its doors for the first time on Carnaby Street, London with its pop-up shop.

The new store offers customers the brands complete spring/summer collection, including dresses, loungewear, and swimwear. Customers can also shop a curated collection of independent labels including Every Nook, Ammé, and LØCI. These small, independent businesses have been consciously chosen by Nobody’s Child to reflect its responsible ethos, and includes footwear, candles, and jewellery.

At 1,300 sq.ft, the store is designed with serene and calming colours to complement the collection; a balance of pastel and rich terracotta tones provide a direct link with nature. The concept of the interior is ‘fashioned from nature’, so every detail has been considered with recycled or FSC certified credentials. Fresh herbs from Water Daily decorate the cork countertop and window displays as a reminder to nurture ourselves and the planet.

Responsibility is at the forefront of Nobody’s Child’s mission with 90% of the collection being made from conscious fabrics. The hangers are from Odenwald, Germany, and are curated from meadow grass that’s native to the region. Nobody’s Child has also opted for simplistic packaging to reduce waste with no tissue paper and bag stickers made from recycled coffee cups.

Jody Plows, CEO of Nobody’s Child says: “I’m incredibly excited about our new store opening on Carnaby Street. It’s important for us — as a growing business — to invite our new and loyal customers to view our summer collection in person and experience the quality and beauty of the products we create.”

The brand joins recent shop openings Serge DeNimes, Joshua Millard, Soho Home and Rotaro.

Visit the store at 50 Carnaby Street, W1F 9QA.

Joint agents Hanover Green Retail, Nash Bond and Cushman & Wakfield acted on behalf of Shaftesbury.
