Environment

We are committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment and recognise the opportunity and obligation we have to make a positive difference. We are responsible and forward-looking in our approach, operating in an environmentally sustainable manner and have set out clear policies to achieve this.

We recognise the need to take urgent action on climate change.  Shaftesbury Capital has confirmed its commitment to Net Zero Carbon by 2030 and published an updated Net Zero Carbon Pathway. The updated pathway sets out our progress to date. Previously both Capco and Shaftesbury had independently set science-based targets to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2023 which align to a 1.5 ̊ C pathway.

We have taken a two-stage approach to our update. During 2024, we will disclose our first year of combined data as Shaftesbury Capital, improve the methodology that we use to measure scope three data, and revalidate through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Net Zero Carbon roadmaps for Shaftesbury and Capco can be found in our archive document library.
