Environment

We are committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment and recognise the opportunity and obligation we have to make a positive difference. We are responsible and forward-looking in our approach, operating in an environmentally sustainable manner and have set out clear policies to achieve this.

We recognise the need to take urgent action on climate change.  Capco and Shaftesbury have independently set science-based targets to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2030 which align to a 1.5 ̊ C pathway and will be carbon neutral for our scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2025.  The combined business will develop a consolidated Net Zero Carbon approach and targets during the next 12 months based on our retrofit first approach to the management of buildings in our portfolio.

Net Zero Carbon roadmaps for Shaftesbury and Capco can be found below. The document library also includes historical performance reports and commitments which remain in force until superseded by Shaftesbury Capital reports. Our respective commitments are supported by clear environmental objectives which we will work to align during the first 12 months following the merger and by Shaftesbury Capital’s Sustainability Development Framework and Refurbishment requirements.
