HOOKED: SEVEN DIALS WELCOMES INNOVATIVE ART RETAIL CONCEPT, THE HOOK

Shaftesbury has announced that The Hook, a unique art gallery retail concept, has opened its flagship London store in Seven Dials in the heart of the West End. Featuring a range of both established and emerging artists, across a variety of subjects and styles, the 1,588 sq ft space is located at 37A Neal Street, adjacent to Ollie Quinn.

The Hook Seven Dials spans two floors and features their frequently updated collection of framed artwork. Designed to be a welcoming and open environment, the store is a gallery and also fully integrated with their online shopping experience, allowing customers flexibility in how they browse and shop.

The Hook Seven Dials hosted a launch event which was designed to introduce the community to their new multi-use space, celebrated the artists and showcased their latest collections including an exclusive commission, Seven Dials, from artist Chuck who was among the artists in attendance. Guests were also treated to a live painting session by artist Emily Harman. The completed artwork will later be available as part of The Hook’s Seven Dials collection.

Brooke Freeman, Founder of The Hook, commented, “We are so proud to launch our flagship gallery and retail store on Neal Street. The Hook has an ethos that prioritises the customer’s experience and is designed to make art collections approachable and fun, and we feel this aligns well with the wider Seven Dials community. We are so excited to finally be able to welcome our customers to our Seven Dials location and bring a bit of The Hook’s creative personality to central London.”

Samantha Bain-Mollison, Retail Director at Shaftesbury, added, “The launch of the largest store for The Hook on Neal Street, is an exciting moment for Seven Dials’ creative community. We are always seeking to diversify our curation of innovative tenants, and the authentic design ethos of the brand will sit comfortably among our existing artistic brands. Neal Street is increasingly becoming a creative hub for Seven Dials, and the arrival of The Hook is a testament to that.”

The Hook’s Seven Dials launch follows the opening of lifestyle brand, Adorn the Common, and will be joined on Neal Street by watch retailer Mr Jones Watches later this year. Neal Street sports a varied and creative tenant mix, including jewellery brand Astrid & Miyu, and the recently opened fashion retailer The Ragged Priest.

Cushman & Wakefield, Hanover Green and Nash Bond represent Shaftesbury. FitzGerald Property Consultants acted on behalf of The Hook.
