ITALY’S FAVOURITE PASTA BRAND MISCUSI SIGNS FOR UK RESTAURANT DEBUT IN THE YARDS, COVENT GARDEN

Longmartin Properties Ltd, a joint venture between Shaftesbury and the Mercers’ Company, has announced that Italy’s favourite pasta restaurant, miscusi, has selected The Yards, Covent Garden, for its debut UK location and its first restaurant outside of Italy.

With 12 restaurants currently across 7 Italian cities, miscusi has now signed for a 4,190 sq ft unit at 23 Slingsby Place committing to the first phase of its international development across Europe. Making a formal commitment to achieving social and environmental goals which have a positive impact on the planet, the brand’s seasonal menu celebrates fresh pasta and champions biodiversity using a variety of grains and condiments that are essential to supporting the ecosystem. miscusi is due to open the doors to its restaurant within The Yards later this autumn.

Since the inception of the brand and the opening of its first restaurant in Milan in 2017, its offering of quality ingredients and simple, traditional pasta receipes blended with a friendly and convivial atmosphere, has attracted a cult following with Italians of all ages.  Promoting the Mediterranean Diet that represents a sustainable cultural model, miscusi’s ethos are rooted in a lifestyle that encourages conviviality, inclusivity, and caring for the environment. The brand’s latest developments in the fields include new agri-tech processes, as well as a new sustainable regenerative agriculture model.

In line with its sustainable mission and being committed to its new B Corp certification, once open, miscusi Covent Garden will be working towards being plastic-free and zero waste, whilst eat-out delivery packages will be 100% recyclable. The restaurant will comprise of 163 covers.
